Carroll Educational Center was founded in 1985 by Dr. Helen Carroll, a passionate educator who envisioned a place where students of all ages could learn and grow. The center started as a small community learning hub, offering basic literacy classes and adult education courses. Over the years, it expanded its programs to include early childhood education, high school diploma preparation, and various vocational training courses. One of the center's most notable achievements was the introduction of its innovative 'Project-Based Learning' initiative in 1995, which emphasized hands-on learning and real-world problem-solving. This approach has since been adopted by many other educational institutions. Throughout its history, Carroll Educational Center has been led by several key figures, including Dr. Helen Carroll, who served as the director until 2005, and her successor, Dr. Mark Thompson, who has been instrumental in expanding the center's reach and impact. Today, Carroll Educational Center continues to thrive, offering a wide range of programs and serving thousands of students each year.
