CKY, known for their unique blend of comedy, music, and performance art, emerged in the early 1990s. The group, consisting of Deron Miller, Chad I Ginsburg, Jess Margera, and Matt Deis, began as a punk band but evolved into a multimedia collective. CKY gained significant recognition with the release of their self-titled album in 1999, which featured a mix of hardcore punk and experimental elements. This was followed by a series of successful albums and DVDs, including 'Infiltrate•Destroy•Rebuild', which further solidified their presence in the alternative music scene. Their innovative approach to live performances and video content helped them build a dedicated fanbase.
